I am having a hay rack built for my 2007 Cherokee 3h goosneck. I am wanting to put a 48 gallon hayrack water tank in it for my weekend package that we are working on. My questions are;

1. Has anyone ran a direct line from the hayrack tank to their cowboy shower and/or sink and how/where did they run it?

2. Are there any special things you would have done to the hayrack if you were having one built?

3. Can you install the ladder for the hayrack on the rear tack door or will it cause hinge problems down the road? My awning is set where the ladder would go on one side and my but windows on the other. I really don't want to put it in the middle of the trailer if I can avoid it.

Thanks in advance for any help ya'll can offer

I ran a 1 1/2" piece of aluminum angle next to my water tank to keep it from slipping/sliding as well as used regular tie-downs instead of the factory ones which don't seem too strong. As far as the ladder on the door goes, I use mine all the time and have had not problems, just make sure the door is shut AND latched for your safety and the ladder is mounted securely.

The door should be fine for the ladder, that's where mine is.

My aluminum trailer came with a hay rack on it. We put two 30 gallon water tanks on the hay rack. We ended up having aluminum slats welded to the hay rack frame so we could walk on those slats rather than having to walk on the horse trailer roof. The slats allow water run-off so the rack doesn't collect rain water. We like this arrangement.
