It would be more helpful to know: What size and type of trailer you are looking at. Bumper pull or gooseneck? How many horses will it haul? Tack/dressing room? Living quarters?
I have a 2004 S&H trailer. It is an excellent trailer in my opinion.

Just wondering what the loan value would be. Its a 24"ft GN with a dressing room in the front, slant load, excellent condition. What did you pay for yours new? That may help, you can pm me if you want. Thanks.

My 2004 S&H is a plain 2 horse straight load, step-up trailer with mangers and the tack space underneath. It is a nice bumper pull and rides really nice down the road. It has been outside for 2 years in the weather and has no rust anywhere. I paid $4,000 for it new and had to put in my own rubber mats later. It also came with a spare tire on a rim. Good Luck!
