I have a 2016 Sundowner LQ that I have only used a few times. I noticed the "charging" light on the breakaway battery is on and has been for days. Not sure if I noticed because maybe the trailer is parked at a slightly different angle so it caught my eye or if this just started happening. The trailer is plugged in with a small electric heater in the LQ, not hooked to the truck. I unplugged the trailer for about 15 minutes and the charge light stayed on. Press the button and it is green, saying it is charged. Is this light supposed to be on all the time?

Break-A-way battery charger has a 12 volt imput and it's probably wired into the LQ batteries. I know mine is and I'll have one LQ battery that discharges a little quicker than the others..... This time of the year I use a battery minder/trickle charger and move it from battery to battery, trailer to trailer so as to keep them all topped off. Could use the trailer inverter but rather charge them individually. Then I'll know whether I have a battery going bad and not cook the inverter. I have several more trailers wired the same way.

Check to see if your wiring is similar to this...then track to see where the battery charger connects to

Yes, it is. Sundowner, like most, uses the accessory (or Batt Chg) circuit to power the horse area and loading lights. This circuit also is used to charge the LQ batteries while you are driving (and it lets the house batteries power those lights when you aren't plugged in) , and to charge the brake-a-way battery. So you are seeing the Charging light is on, because it is seeing the battery voltage from the LQ house batteries. If Sundowner had not used the deluxe self-charging brake-a-way kit, you would never have seen this. You'd just have to manually charge the battery every so often. So this is easier for you. :)
