Hi Everyone,
I recently insulated, panelled, and carpeted the living quarters in my horse trailer. The problem now is that the chemical fumes/smell from the materials I used is overwhelming! I've tried airing it out by leaving windows open but the fumes build up once it's closed for any length of time.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the smell/fumes? I've thought about a box of baking soda but haven't tried it yet.

Charcoal brickets placed open in a dish pan will absorb many odors. Open two opposing windows, and use a vent fan left on at one window when not using your trailer. This will constantly evacuate the smells. It takes a considerable amount of time to alleviate some smells, depending on the materials that were originally used.

The worst of the smell is likely the carpet. The adhesive used to glue the fibers to the backing is the cause. Opening the windows and time is really the best action.
A little heat (leave the trailer in the sunshine)will help drive off the volatiles.
