Subject: paneling warping

Location: illinois		Has anyone had a problem with the paneling warping in the dressing room part of their trailer? We finished our Exiss trailer as a weekender and now the paneling is warping in places. Any ideas/

Did you insulate it before installing this paneling? Got any water leaks? Is it nice and dry inside? Moisture and high humidity = warping....

Location: illinois		Yes we insulated it. No there is no leaks. The past year we have had alot of moisture, and we checked for leaks because of this.  Just wondering if there is any way to do somthing about it now, so we can stop this before the problem gets worse.

I've read of other people having that trouble when using thin paneling. It simply absorbs any and all moisture.

How thick is your paneling?

Some people have put 1/4" plywood behind the thin paneling.  I simply used 3/8" exterior beadboard plywood, rather than use 2 different surfaces.

Location: western PA		The front side is finished, the back side isn't. The back side absorbs more moisture than the front. That is a cause of warping.
