Do any of you have any of their products? Looks like the way to go for feeders. Made of polyethylene (used for oil pipelines) and is supposed be extremely durable. Comes with a 7 year warranty. Comments please.

I don’t know the pros or cons about the material, but I do not like that it is open on the side all the way to the bottom. Even in their brochure photos it shows how much wasted feed there will/could be. I prefer the feeders that are enclosed on the bottom 3rd, it does seem to cut waste a little more. Just my thoughts... http://www.centurylivestockfeeders.com/

The brochures don't show the optional skirting that is available. I agree that otherwise a lot of hay iwould be wasted.

Actually, I was looking for some used round bale feeders and ran across some articles that discussed the hay savings from a round "cone" type feeder.  This is the cone feeder that I saw.  What the folks did with that is put the feeder on plywood or some sort of wood base to keep the hay that fell out from getting wet or moldy.

I think they said the bunk feeders and regular round bale feeders were very wasteful and the cone saved a lot more hay.

THis is the link to the article.  Looks like they had the skirt on the cone feeder.
