I have the opportunity to buy a 1998 Sundowner Seista 8' short wall for $18,000 I have checked the prices on here HTW and the are going for around $25,000. It is a nice trailer with lots of extras that I don't have in my 1999 Exiss w/4' short wall. I LOVE MY EXISS!! and it has been kept up a lot better than this sundowner and although it doesn't have everything the Sundowner does it is a lot better quality living quarters (soild Pine cabinets and paneling) than the sundowner(Partical board), but I could realy use the extra room this trailer has to offer.
Ugh!! Decisions, Decisions!!

Unless it has what you want and just love the darned thing, keep looking. There are lots of trailers out there...hold out for something that has it all.

Yes,I agree. When you trade,be sure you can live with the tradeoffs that come with every trade in.If I didnt love it,and it wasn't just what I wanted,I wouldn't trade down. You can find what you want, just hold on,and keep looking.

Thanks for your opinions!! That helps a lot!! I am going to look at the Sundowner 1 more time today. I think I am gonna take my trailer with me and just compare the 2 side by side. I know that sounds crazy, but when I go look at the sundowner I see all the extra room, but when I come home to my exiss, I see a better quality (kept) living quarters.

If it were me, I'd pick more room over cabinet quality. There is a big difference between a 4' shortwall and an 8' shortwall and that seems like a really good price. You could compromise and have it looked over by an RV place to get a to-do list and then weigh out of the price is balances out needed repairs or maintenance.
