I WENT TO GO SIGN THE PAPERS ON THE '03 CHEVY DURAMAX YESTERDAY AND THE DEALER WENT AHEAD AND SOLD IT OUT FROM UNDER-NEATH ME!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? HE KNEW I WAS COMING TO SIGN THE PAPERS AT 4PM! JERK!!! ANYWAYS- THERE IS A REALLY NICE DODGE DOWN THE ROAD. WAS HEARING SOME TALK OF THE DODGE'S SIDE-RAILS TOO HIGH FOR THE GOOSENECK TRAILERS????? I HAVE A '06 MONARCH CLASSIC AND AM WONDERING IF THIS TRUCK WILL BE TOO HIGH? IT IS NOT "LIFTED" OR ANYTHING BUT DANG- SOME OF THESE NEW TRUCKS ARE TALL!!!!

THANKS ALL-

I have an 05 Dodge 3500 4x4 dually and never really had any problems with it being too tall. I have a 30ft horse trailer and I had to let the hitch down a little bit on the trailer. I havent ever even come close to hitting the tailgate or sides of the truck. I have always had dodge diesel and I think they are one of the best trucks out there for raw pulling power. I have increased the horsepower and torque on mine with a chip from edge. Now having said that, I had to have my transmission rebuilt when the truck had 19,000 miles on it. Maybe I was abusing the tranny by trying to do too much, or maybe it was just a typical transmission failure. who knows. In the last 5 dodge diesel I have had 2000-2005 that was the only problem I ever had. Anways, there are ways to lower the dodge trucks, not sure how, but it can be done. But you do have to be careful and watch just with anything and everything.

Unless you put money down on it they have to sell it. You wouldnt' beleive how many people tell you they will be right back to buy it and never show up.

I have a 07 w/ the Duramax and just can't say enough good things about it. I have plenty of room with my LQ gooseneck attached; and it has plenty of power to yank it around.
I have to give the cummins lots of credit, i think they are the fuel mileage kings. The only weak part that I have read is the auto transmissions.

Don't know about the '05 but the '04 Dodge 3500  4x4 dually is fine; have one with auto and one with manual transmission; I am driving an '06 2500 with auto; haven't had any problems with the auto trans and don't expect to....these are just good trucks. Bill took the tailgate off the dually he drives..... all Cummins engines...... nephew left his tailgate on.....my tailgate has already suffered a mishap..............
