Hello,

I am looking for a bumper pull horse trailer (2) horse with living quarters.  The reason I need a bumper pull is I have a aluminum dog box in

the back of my truck bed.  It is bolted down and weighs about 200 pounds so moving it in and out is not easy.

Is Lakota the only one making a bumper pull with living quarters now?  How are they made?  Decent, Good, Excellent?

I looked at a HUT Lakota with small slide out?  The slide out makes a bed.  How much weight will that bed slide out hold you think?

I am a big guy 305 pounds and wife is 150 pounds.  Would that slide out bed hold that much?

Do they hold up well?  I have found a couple of used ones, but that is the only brand I have seen.

Does any other companies make bumper pull with living quarters?

Any suggestions?

There is this one: http://www.factorydirecthorsetrailers.com/inventory2.htmlI've seen some DIY bumper pull living quarters, if you join the Facebook group Horse Trailer Conversions (mentioned in another thread on this site) there are a few that have made their own and shared images.

http://www.automatedsafetyhitch.com/ maybe you should look at a GN LQ and add one of these units...

If your dog box fits right behind your truck cab, and doesn't extend past where a gooseneck ball would fit, you might be able to use a hitch extender, and still be able to pull a gooseneck.  I think you would like pulling a gn LQ versus a bumper pull.  They are quite tongue heavy, and the used Huts we have sold off of our lot w/ the bump out feature; makes me question how much weight they would hold.
