Hi all, so I pulled up the mats on my trailer yesterday to clean, had bought it brand new in October and used it 7 times. I found this yellowish crud under my mats that made just one narrow stripe on the left side of the trailer (spotless on the right, and more often than not I'm trucking 2 horses). I scrubbed it with soap and a brush for 20 minutes and I only got a minuscule piece off, maybe a couple centimeters long. Anyone know what it is? I'm trying to attach pics, but it might take a little while. Thanks!

From the color, and the toughness, I would wonder if it is 3M contact cemet to hold the mats in place. Did the mats have any yellow on the bottom? Were they somehow held down by the mfr so they do not slip?

I wonder if it is contact cement as well. We had some of that on our floor under the mats from when they put the wall padding on. That has been my biggest disappointment about our trailer, they did not keep the floor very clean when working and then just put the mats over it. We had a lot of cleaning to do when we pulled the mats the first time.

I'd actually never thought of that! It's a lightish yellow, looks like its spackled on in a completely straight line up to the head area. There as some residue of it on the mats but it wasn't attached to the mats like it was on the floor.
