I rode a Big Horn endurance saddle since back in the late 80's. Some years ago I decided it was time for a new saddle and bought a Bob Marshall endurance saddle. I paid extra to leave off the horn. It is the most comfortable saddle ever if you're going to be in the saddle all day. I've used it on both my trail horses, and neither ever came up with a sore back.
I did end up buying a Chris Cox signature saddle although that wasn't my original intention. I'd paid to attend a clinic in TX, and then Littleman had the tumor issue. Instead of rolling over the clinic deposit, I put it towards a saddle. Now that is some kind of a saddle. No regrets, and I love it. I now ride it all the time.

I have a friend who runs a Hoofbeats for Healing program where they put challenged children on horses as part of the healing process. She uses the treeless saddles exclusively. Claims the kids respond better if they can feel the horses movements and get their bodies in sync with the horses movements. I'll check with her and see if she is in the market for another saddle.
