I am at the stage of my diy lq to hook up the propane line. What is the diameter of the main propane feed line on LQ trailers? That goes from your lp tank\regulator then back under the traler and up into the lq? And do you use that hard black pipe for this?

You need a flexible line from your regulator to the 1/2" black iron rigid pipe, which extends on the exterior of the trailer until an "ell" is installed and copper goes inside to the appliances. The copper is usually "L" or "K", 1/4", some folks prefer 3/8" and uses flared fittings. You will need flare to screw adapters on each end of the black pipe which is threaded.
Check each fitting with soapy water to ensure it's not leaking. Make sure your flares are accurate and clean any burrs on the edges. If you have a pressure gauge, tee it into the system and do a timed leak check.

Trailboss,
When your done, can you post a couple pictures or send me some. I am not quite to that stage yet but am completely in the dark on how to hook this up. On top of all that, I have to T off the propane to run the water heater and the refer. Let us all know how it goes.
