Now that the weather is getting a little better, I tried to open the windows on my "new" old horse trailer.  They are supposed to slide in a track.  They don't slide worth a hooey.  It's a battle to get them open.  Can I put some sort of lube in the track to make them open easier?  I'm not sure what the track itself is even made of.  I have an older lazy N trailer.

This is what I use...

Just spray it in the track then slide the window to work it in. I usually spray all of mine about twice a year. Makes it alot easier when the 56" windows are at arms reach.

I second retento's recommendation. I use the same stuff on my 96 Sundowner and the windows slide much easier after I apply it. Also, make sure you clean the tracks out...sometimes they get junk in them that make the windows hard to open.

If the latches are tight or the metal is stuck together, try the same company's CRC 5-56. It is an excellent penetrant/lubricant. Once the metal parts are moving, the silicone spray will keep it that way.
