Hi all-
This is kind of a strange question, but I'm trailer shopping and have found a 1994 2H straight load GN Trail-Et with midtack and dressing room. It's all steel but dealer says it's the galvanneal. It looks to be in great shape from the pictures and I'm half in love with it already 31 I've read good things about Trail-Ets on this forum, but I live in central Florida and I've been told they don't hold up down here? Is that an old wives' tale or does anyone know some truth to that? Thanks so much!!

I sent my last youth client to FL to buy an older steel trailer and it was fine!

Just keep it washed and waxed on a regular basis and you'll be fine.

Keep your eye on the hinges and the cross bracing under the floors.

Can't say anything about a trailer in Florida. But we have a 86 LeBaron that has held up fine in Washington state. Don't have the salt problems of Florida so I would check the underside out. See and poke around the areas where water can sit. Big thing is clean and wash as was said

Trail-et's are aluminum skin and they will rust in Fla as will steel trailers due to all the humidity and ocean salt if you're near the ocean which you aren't in Gainesville.     The amount of care you give it and what it has been given thus far will determine how well it will hold up.

If you're able to keep them under cover, I have seen steel or aluminum skin trailers look great for many years.
