For those of you who own a Tucker, can you please tell me what your actual seat measures and then what Tucker says the seat size is?
I have been around the moon to get a 15 1/2 Gen II Cheyenne Frontier. When I measure from inside the pommel to the back of the cantle...it measures 16 1/2. I called Tucker and was told to measure from inside the cantel to the first seam stitch in the cantel. Well that measures 16. I had the saddle special made because Tucker does not stock a 15 1/2 in this saddle. Now the dang thing does not even measure to a 15 1/2. I know some of you are thinking "Why is she squabbling about 1/2 and inch?". The saddle is too big for me. That 1/2 inch would make a difference to me. Anyway, just wondering what how other Tucker saddle measure out.
Thanks for any input.

We ride Tucker saddles and I think it may be wise to get a 16" saddle and then get a get seat cushion pad to "snug it up" if needed. There are not too many microscopic butts around, and some day you may want to sell it...?

Mine measures a 15 1/2 just as they say to measure to. But I had mine special mad to fit me and my horse about 13-14 years ago. I love mine! Tuckers do run larger than a normal saddle would measure. Mine if you look almost looks big for me, but I've never had a problem with that extra 1/2". I do believe Tucker only makes their saddles also in 1/2" sizes..............

Well all the Tuckers that I measured at my local saddle shop ran big. The 16 1/2 measured out at 17 1/2 if you measure the normal way from the inside of the pommel to the top of the cantel. 17 1/2 at 18 1/2 and so on. Measuring the Tucker way (from inside of pommel to first seam stitch inside cantel) resulted in 1/2 size bigger than what the sticker stated. Tuckers only come in 1/2 sizes and 15 1/2 is the smallest seat size they make. I too had to have the saddle made because evidently Tucker does not stock the Gen II Cheyenne Frontier in 15 1/2 and that is the only saddle out of 20 to 25 that fit my horse. I guess I will just learn to live with the saddle being too big for me. I have ridden in it twice now and it was a little better the second time so I guess I will get used to it. As far as the microscopic butt comment, I am not sure if I am insulted or flattered. I know quite a few people that ride in a regular 15 seat so I am not sure that is out of the ordinary. At any rate, I am glad to have a saddle that at last fits my horse!
