Hi..I am new here and have tried to read as many back posts as possible but am still confused about towing capacity.I have a 2004 f-150 Fx4 5.4 triton motor.I have a 61/2 foot box and i think my towing capacity is 9800 lbs.I am looking to buy a Sooner trailer,3 horse (would only be used for 2 small reiners 1000lbs each)The curb weight on the trailer i am looking at(manger pkge) is 5100 lbs.If i do the math i am well within the lbs i am allowed but are there risks with this truck?I know more truck is better no doubt..but i love my truck and do more "kid hauling" than horse hauling and there would be no really long trips.Thanx in advance..
