We are needing to replace our trailer tires. Going on a 3 horse slant that is used casually, not tons but goes some. With all the tires that are out there, any pointers, recommendations, things to know???? I hate to go put the first tire on that we find and wish we hadn't! Suggestions, opinions would be great! Thank you!

this has been talked to death but in my opinion do not go cheap, we only run Michleins on our trailers and I would not buy any thing less than a 10 ply tire and run the air pressure that is on the sidewall of the tire, this will be about 80 lbs. the tire co. know what is best and that is why they put it on there product, but it seems that a lot of people always think that if they are not loaded heavy that less air pressure will make there tires last longer but this is not so as they will run hotter and then they start to come apart and the consumer blames the tire for a lot of there problems.

My cousin is a tire store manager his best advice "Don't use ST trailer tires." I have a 4 horse w/10 foot LQ he put Firestone ST tire LT 285/75/16 on it.Keep them at max pressure and get LT rated tires.
