Is it a big deal to add a window to a trailer before the LQ is put in? I've seen some trailers I like, and which have potential for a future LQ, but they're missing one very important feature - a picture window. And on that topic - any advice for window types - jalousie vs. slide for instance - or other considerations? Thanks. This would be a professional installation, by the way.

If the trailer already has the LQ, and no window, I'm imagining the difficulty installing one would have to do with what is on the wall where the window needs to go. Is that true?

I had to replace a window in mine, and of course they no longer made that same size so the hole had to be cut bigger. My "trailer repair guy" didn't seem to think it was any big deal. I imagine the windows are cut into them at the factory; they probably don't come "formed in".

My friends that have the jalousie windows love them as if it rains it doesn't rain into the trailer and you get more air flow.  I have the slide windows and have to shut them, and you only get air from the one side, so if I had a choice I'd go with the jalousie windows.

Jalousie windows are ideal in an LQ trailer.  Adding a window in a trailer is a matter of measuring for placement; framing it out with the appropriate materials, and getting the skin cut to the opening size; getting the window secured, and doing a good job of getting it sealed.  If it is an unfinished LQ; whatever interior trim is up to your decorator tastes.
