While we are at it - looking at a 2002 Chaparral three horse slant gooseneck for $3500. I don't have deep pockets. Rust is about what you would expect - some light/surface in a couple of places - everything else appears good. Any thoughts on Chaparral's for a run-around trailer (vet, camping, local shows)?

The Chapparal trailer is no longer built; but being that you will have a used steel trailer, I wouldn't let that bother me. Most parts used on that trailer would be pretty standard in the industry.

We have a 2000 Chap. and have been quite pleased with it. It had a 4'sw dr that we finished into a weekender. There is almost no rust on it even though it sits out most of the year.
