6 prong round light hook up, would you go ahead and change it to a 7 pronge?? The 6 prong in the truck does not have a straight wire, so no charging, when hooked up! Thanks

I would change it out in, just because most all newer truck have the 7 way plug.

The 6 way plug that was on our 04 Sooner was a set up to charge from the truck, we just did not have back up lights on the trailer....

But after having the 7 way plug with back up lights on the trailer that actually work I wouldn't have it any other way.

If you are selling all those brands of trailers, I would use a plug that is most common to most of them. Many of the LQ owners I know, use the seven wire plugs with spade terminals. With a fully wired truck plug, in a pinch you can use adapters, to access the particular functions you need, with a trailer you may not normally tow.
