It is CLEARLY stated and pictured in the Exiss booklet I just saw, that a CX model has NO telescoping divider, while the XT/SS models have a rear telescoping divider Standard. referenced page 4-5 in the Exiss Event brouchure

And,so,off we all go,on yet another Exiss thread about their poorly designed trailers. What does THIS one make, about # 1000??

Hey,Gard,where are you?

Hounddog, did you try the guy that owns Dixie Horse & Mule in your area? He always seems so eager to please, looks like he would have located you a trailer and would deliver it to you.

Crowleysridgegirl, thank you for the very nice words!  Yes, the customer did visit us when shopping, but we did not have that model in stock & could only get him a new 08.  The price of the new one was, of course, more than the 07 "demo" that he found.  We recommended he go with that one for the savings, as a new one would have a dealer cost of more than he advised he could buy the 07 for.

I see.I was just curious because I knew that he's in your area and you deliver, and, that you are always helpful and ready to work with your customers to their advantage as you proved in your dealings and honesty with Hound dog and his trailer needs.

First I was told Exiss did not MAKE a trailer like we were looking for as I described our CM Ranger.Even used one of their PONDEROSAS as a example.Did not look but wonder if one of those PONDEROSA have a telescoping divider? Then told NO one made a aluminum trailer like we were looking for only a steel. Then I FOUND numerous makes like I was looking for and e/mailed the ad of the CX300 to the same folks trying to do business with them. Then told the one in the ad was NOT a Event and was less money because it was less trailer PLUS being a 07 demo.Thats when. Was also told I would pay doc fees, taxes and some other fee but not given a idea of moneys.Got "How can we earn your business" several times but that was about it.Said we are Wholesale to every one.I asked what MSRP was and got no reply other then "How can I earn your business".Called on the AD in Kansas at Ryan Holton trailer sales and RYAN HOLTON went over all of the above including that ALL CXs are EVENTS.I saved over 2grand including roof vent, bus windows, delivery.I still will save $1500 including the rear divider. I have NEVER seen a Exiss brochure or any other manufacture and Exiss was not able to tell me as I stated earlier if the way it came, divider too long or?? that way or not! How am I to know if it was the correct divider if THEY don't? Common sense told me and others that when shutting the rear door with dividers open that it was a fubar! Maybe that fubar will be improved upon. Ryan Holton could give lessons in horse trailer sales. He was hungry and wanted to SELL a trailer.Didn't mean to start a BIG stink over a divider but it really came across from Exiss and looking at it that it was a FUBAR.I was just trying to see if that WAS the case or just a oops wrong divider. If I was in the other shoes I rather it be a OPPS wrong divider then "We'll its made that way"cause it is stupid that you can't shut the back door if that second divider is open.I can think of reasons loading a horse that at least you might want to have someone shut or hold shut that back door until you got out and safe.

From the hinge point of the rear divider to the rear of the trailer it measures ... 7'4", the length of the divider is...7'8 and 7/8".....4 and 7/8" past the rear opening of the trailer. Right or wrong, what or how ever you feel about it, it is what it is.

Stole this off of DH&M's site...

Duckman is right.  I have the Exiss books at our dealership, and I am looking at the page with the CX300, which clearly states that the wall length is 7'4", and the divider length is 7'8 7/8", and a telescoping divider is an added option.  On the page right next to it, it states that the XT300 includes the telescoping divider as a standard option.  I'm sure you probably picked the CX over the XT for various differences in options and price.  Your dealer should have explained the differences in the models on the phone so you had the option to add the telescoping divider if that's what you wanted, but the trailer you got had the standard options offered for the price.

Never saw a XT ST or what ever. No one mentioned them. Liked the CX because of big rear door, open slate sides etc. Wanted the SAME type trailer as my CM Ranger. As stated was told it did not exist in aluminum.

Often times, I have been looking at trucks etc, knowing what I wanted, and knowing it existed..... and had a dealership/salesman tell me that what THEY had at the dealership was the closest to what I wanted, and that what I wanted did not exist.  I have been in the store, asked where an item was, was told that the item did not exist, and could not be manufactured.... and I walked around and found it, took it back to the same senior sales fellow who looked very foolish.  Point being, I guess, that being given inaccurate or incomplete info is not brand specific, just the ineptitude, ignorance, laziness, or deceptiveness of people!

You could take the trailer back and trade in on what you really would like, but the fuel alone to go 2000 miles total makes the $500 for the partition a bargain .    Just a lesson to all of us to thoroughly research, do homework, and download brochures etc from manufacturers getting specific measurements and specifications to help avoid headache and heartache..

I think that the door not being able to shut while the divider is locked open should be mentioned somewhere in the book.  Not just the measurements.  Honestly, how many people are thinking about IF an undamaged door will shut properly when it comes with standard equipment.  I know I wouldn't have thought to check it.  To me that's like the refrigerator door not shutting if you move an adjustable shelf.  Just not something you'd think to check.
