rick, Come on and buy my 2001 3500 Chevy. 4x4, ext cab, LT, 496/Allison, 4.10 limited slip, 34 gallon tank that stays either half empty of half full all the time. Truck is clean as it can be, got less than 51,000 miles. It just loves GAS! Think I'll get me one of them VW bug oil (diesel) burner with an automatic and a Brenderup with them cable brakes everyone is all excited about! Heading through the mountains in a couple of weeks, let ya'll know how it went on the other side.

Thats one thing about the warranty.... if you experience trouble you can get er fixed or drive er till its up and get a nuther one.
Ya don't hear too much from the Duramax owners...think it's cause they can't read or write english much less figure out a puter..password ? username ? "TODO O NADA" HE HE that ought to get a few lookin for an interpreter.Gotta get Me a Chevrolet-Ford veocho with twice pipes,bucket chairs and venition blinds.Maybe some o them dingle balls for the windows.
Think I'll sit back sip on My margurita and ponder the possabilities.

My 05 F350 4X4 has never been back to the dealer for anything. Pulls great and runs great . If you are getting AT would go with 4:10 if getting 6 speed I would get the 3:73 . My last one was 6 speed with 3:73 My 05 is auto 4:10 . Don't get the MPG with the auto. Just my opinion.

Not to beat a dead horse but as I was cleaning/feeding/sweating I was thinking.Some things in life I could not/would not consider.UGA vet school as a example.It does NOT EXSIST and I live near it.Some products are the same way.Lots of vehicles I would not ever look at.Some I'd look at when a proven track record is proven.If i was buying a new diesel truck the Ford is one of those items.Lots of sour grapes out there about them.I own a 03 dodge dually but if shopping again I'd take a long hard look at the new DMax with all the bells and whistles.

I agree, Hound. Now if Chevy could just get their trucks to LOOK like a truck instead of a wimpy truck, they might just earn the right to be the top truck.(This is just MHO!)

Generally, you only hear from those who are unhappy with a product rather from those who are pleased. I have a Ford now and would consider them again in the future.

I prefer the GMC over Chevy too. I used to have Suburbans, 2 Chevys and 1 GMC, and I had better luck with the GMC mechanically too. I know it's said that there's no real difference but I swear there is. I do know that the grill on my Chevy was chrome colored plastic which peeled within a year (and it was garage kept!) and the grill on the GMC was real.
