Typical South Fla summer, 90-95 during the day with 80-95% humidty, then it drops to a chilling 87 at night.....  But we still ride all summer, going out in the morning or evening.   This lasts from May through mid Oct.

If I trailer out, I leave the barn by 7:30 am and meet friends to ride at shady parks or ones with huge lakes as there is always a breeze coming off them and we can always take the horses in for a swim.

But come late Oct through April we've got the best weather while the rest of you guys are freezing your tails off!  Course we don't have the scenery many of you have and I am jealous as heck of that.....

Teh hurricane rain didn't make it up to Central Texas!  Again!  Dolly pooped out and now this one did too.  sigh.  Keep wishing for hurricanes for us!  That's about the only way we get rain in the summer around here.

I didn't get any rain off of it either, rain stayed about 30 miles south of me. At least it was cloudy and the temps stayed in the 70's. Of course today it is hot and humid.

Ughhh! More rain. I wish I could transport some of this down to your folks in Texas. The heat wave broke, but now we have deluges of rain. 5 inches to the county south of me  last night and 4-6 more inches forecasted for tonight. I'm thinking Eastern Kansas is in Hurricane country. We defiantely have gotten the rain like we live along the coast. Guess more swimming through mud on the trails. Sigh....

Ugh.  I know I'd take a day's worth of a frog-strangling gully-washer.  Lost a cat the other day and to go looking in the huge cracks to make sure he didn't fall and get wedged into one.  Got a little drizzling this morning as an Edourdo left over.  Just enough to make the top layer of dirt gummy and tick to my Crocs when I went out to feed.  About to leave work and see how hot it is out there now.  Come on Fall!  Can't wait to see ya!

Whooohoooo.  RAIN.  Nearly three inches in two days.  I'm hoping for a little more and more clouds!  Wonderful cloud cover.  Maybe we can pull out a second cutting of hay.
