"Errr, "fast food restaurant" ? Isn't that an oxy_whatsit ? (-:
I'd rather park, walk, sit down and eat at a table - REALLY ! Why they have McGarbage drive throughs on the NY freeway is a mystery to me. Not really, its because people WANT them. The idea that people would WANT to not get out of their car every few hours ..... Oh, nevermind - just another tangent.
If you HAVE TO use a drive through window (maybe at a bank) watch the overhead clearance. My B/P is about the same height as my Goosie, rule of thumb - you want 2ft more than your interior height, e.g. with a 7' 6" interior height don't try to squeeze under anything less than 9' 6". Hotel/Motel check-ins are often only 9ft - to discourage "Truckers" !"
I should have clarified myself a little bit better, especially for your liking Reg. The problem with some of the older built fast food chains is some have very poor parking for bigger rigs, so the problem we ran into is we had no place to turn around so we either had to back out of the parking lot into traffic, not a good idea, or continue on around the drive-thru. Why we pulled into this fast food place was due to an extreme craving for Taco Bell.

I have two bumper pulls and one gooseneck, a car or 1/2 ton to 1 ton can pull a bumper pull, when you use the stabilizing bars and sway control on your reese hitch, you can have a tongue weight of 5,000 lb hook it to a 1/2 ton put the stabilizing bars on and only put 5 lbs on the bumper add the sway control on you can pull a 40' trailer if you so mind to the truck will be over rated but it will do it. But if you have a goose neck with 5,000 lb tongue weight the half ton will just lay down, most any car or 1/2 ton truck can pull a bumper hitch but not all can pull a heavy goose neck. There is a place for both and I like both.

I pull gn trailers with my half ton with no problem. You have to decide which is the right trailer for you. The pro's for a gn far outweigh the cons as far as I am concerned. I just don't like the feel of the bumperpull after having hauled with a gn. My truck performance and gas mileage attests to that as well! Besides after getting ticketed last year for going over 55mph with a trailer behind me, it shows how easy it is to forget you have a gn behind you! I never had that problem hauling a bumper pull, if I went over 55 it would start swaying and dragging. With the gn it glides too easy! So those hauling...beware.. the state troopers are really cracking down on horsetrailers over 55mph!!! Especially in Michigan!!!!!!

maybe I'm late to the party, but when deciding between a 2H gooseneck or BP. I was all set to get the GN because of the stablity of its towing and I thought maybe I'd like to have a little camping set up with a bed in the gooseneck. But... I'm not the only one in my family to haul a trailer. We have three households with horses and two trailers and I finally decided to get the sort we all could haul that was set-up the same, a straightload with ramp. Now our three trucks, two trailers and 9 horses are all sort of interchangable. If I'd gotten the gooseneck, my truck would be the only one set up to haul it and there would be the added expense of adding the hitch to my truck and learning how to use it. The bp turned out to be a simpler solution for us.

I'm probably late as well but couldn't agree more with cascadia on make sure it is a trailer that everyone can use that is going to be pulling it. On the other hand your biggest difference between BP vs. GN is weight distribution. On a GN trailer you have the tounge weight of the trailer 2" in front of the center of the axle where as a BP puts the weight behind the axle.
