I thought I would lighten things up in here and have everyone share a pic of their favorite horse and why they are your favorite. Since my hubby is in Afghanistan I will share his favorite horse in his honor. Her name is Miss Ruby Leather, she is a registered Spotted Draft. She is my hubby's horse and his equine best friend. This is my favorite picture of him and his horse, it was taken earlier this summer when he was home on leave.
Thanks for starting this, your mare is gorgeous (nice lookin husband too!)
I'm grateful for men and women like him that are allowing us to do what were doing now.

I want a donkey too! I'd like to have a team to pull a little cart. That's my dream when I get to retire. Here is a pic of my 27 year-old best friend. I've had him 21 years.

I think everyone should have at least one! We started with Dusty, and decided that an only donkey was a lonely donkey Sooo, we started looking. What we found were expensive! Then, along comes a deal I couldn't pass up. A lady had a Jennet that she just wanted to get rid of. I looked at her, she wasn't friendly (but I could work on that), and she looked bred. I asked if she was, but the people thought the gestation was only 9 months and said that she couldnt be bred. I picked up "Margaret" (my son named her) for 40 bucks. 6 weeks later we were blessed with Banjo. I sold Margaret last year, and Dusty and Banjo are thriving together. Now I just need to get Banjo "cut". He's a good Jack, but he'd be better off without "them".
Gorgeous costume and horse. Your blessed to have had him for 21 years, I hope my Lucy stays with me for that long.
Hope everyone has a safe Labor Day, were hitting the trail in the morning.
