we have a 1999 chevy truck 1500, regular cab, long bed. just wondering if it can haul a 2004 cornpro 3 horse gooseneck trailer, just wondering if it needs anything special, like air bags or something.

Empty, yes. Loaded with 3 horses and a weekends worth of gear, no. Somewhere in between, probably.

I just sold my '99 GMC Ext. Cab / Short Bed 4x4.  I used to haul a steel GN 4h with a 16' floor, but it only ever had ONE horse in it and enough gear for up to 3 days.  It did OK.  It even did reasonably well with two horses, but I'd never have wanted to try it with three.
