What is the main purpose of these jacks. I know they will level the trailer. Are they suppose to be put down when you unhook or leave down when you are hooked up to get weight off the truck. Can you use them to help make the trailer go up, along with the manual jack?

If they are the ones I'm thinking of, they are to help level your trailer when you are camping in it.  Not to lift your trailer.  You could ruin them.

Most definitely the stabiliizers are just that......stabilizers.  They are for when it's unhooked from truck or you're camping.  Keeps it from leaning side to side. You must adjust the main jack to where you want it and THEN put the stabilizers down.  (Can you tell I've been yelled at hubby about this?)
