Does anyone know if a rear tack wall/area can be added to a trailer after market?

It sure can be added.  Anyone who can weld could frame up and enclose for a rear tack.

Look under the mats, you may already have the hardware to receive the foldable panels.  Would also be hardware up top.  When I bought my trailer, it had the rear tack panels but it didn't look like there was a place put the saddle rack (I also have a mid-tack which was where the saddle rack was).  Flipped up the mat and the receiver was there, but the mat had never been cut away to access it.
