Hello List,We have an older 2-horse bumper pull trailer (it's a 1994 Merhow Equilite) that we would like to have re-painted and fixed up. I would also like to have a Rumbar floor installed. Does anyone on this list have a recommendation of a place to take the trailer w/in 50+/- miles of Dallas?Thank you,Phil & Deirdre Marr214-369-7267dmarr@tx.rr.com

Try Rockwall Trailer on I-30 in Rockwall Texas, just between Rockwall and Fate on the south side of the hwy address is 3008 Interstate 30  972-772-4045

When I'm back home they help me with my horse trailer and I've found them to be both knowledgeable and fair.

Also you can have anything but paint done by your local RV dealer, I used Nichols in Mesquite on I-30 to do my yearly safety checks and bearing packing.

Last time I had my trailer painted I took it back to the factory in OK, so as for local paint shops the only one I can recommend because I know the owners are the Service King paint/body repair shops.  They do great paint and honest work, in fact most car dealerships use them because they are really good at what they do!  They may not be the cheapest but they'll be the best.

For welding my ONLY recommendation is a place on I-30 just past Fate towards Royce City on the north side of the hwy called Bell's welding 972-771-1988 he has rebuilt my top doors when wind gusts nearly ripped them off my trailer.  He is VERY fair and does excellent work.  The shop isn't anything to look at but the quailty of his work is unsurpassed.  He's a good ol' country boy.

Always use your head!  If something does not sound right then chances are it's not...if you need something more just post back here and ask for me, I'll be around.

Welcome to the forum Dmarr. Ditto on Rockwall Trailer. I use them to have my trailer brakes checked and replaced. Used them a number of times. and they are very reasonable and do very good work.
