hey folks,  a new boarder just bought a GN with a hitch problem.  The pin is not ailgned with all the holes. It goes in halfway.  What should he do?  Can he place a heavy bolt inside instead of pin??   Any suggestions on how to get it fixed?

Are you talking about the latch that locks the hitch on the ball?

I had one that would do that....it had been tweeked a bit and I tapped, the area where the pin w/the spring attached to the trailer, with a hammer and realigned it.  Don't hit it too hard...you don't want to stress the metal.  a few taps in well planned placed realigned it. check for stress cracks and if found you will need to have a welder look at it for safety purposes.
