Just like beet pulp. You may have to feed it several times for the horses to accept it. My horses at first turned their noses up at soaked beet pulp, but soon learned to love it and if I put it out in one feeder and alfalfa in the other they will go and consume the Beet pulp first then return to the alfalfa.
My opinion is that the Purina Hydration hay is kinda expensive. I usually buy a couple bags of beet pulp pellets for $12 a 50lb bag and I can soak that and use it to push some extra water into my horses. Then I use the regular for the bulk of their feed. I also use the soaked beet pulp to add electrolytes or other supplements to my horses diet, Since they eat the pulp with paying attention to what I might stir into it.
