Actually almost any kind of clean grease will do.  But, the better choice is an EP designated grease.  The EP is "Extreme Pressure"

I use synthetic chasis grease. A thin film is long lasting, weather resistant and stops any noise and most wear. One application at the beginning of the season lasts the showing year.
