Basically, can I do it? The Equinox can tow a 3500 lb. trailer, says the website, and it meets Brenderup's minimums. But I want to make sure there's not something I'm overlooking, as I know this would be a close call. Anybody more knowledgeable than me care to help?

Which Brenderup?  How many horses?  How often?  How far?

Even in the best case situation you will be at the working limits of your vehicle.......some people are fine with that, some are not.

It would only be one horse, but as I sat here and thought about it I would want the option of towing 2, if I ever needed to. And I'm NOT somebody who's ok with being at the limit all the time-I want my next vehicle to LAST! So thanks for the reply, I'm definitely leaning toward no.
