Does anyone know an approximate mark up percentage that trailer dealers add to the 'retail' price of trailers? Or if this is even a possible question to answer?I am looking at buying a new trailer, and was just wondering how much to reasonably expect a dealer to negotiate down...5%, 10%?? Obviously, I know it will depend on how badly a dealer wants to sell the trailer. So, how is the market for selling trailers right now?

That's an excellent question, there are a lot of websites that will give you the price that the dealer payed for a car but I am not aware of one that does it for trailers. I would probably price the same/similar trailers at a few different dealers, then take the best price back to the dealer you want to buy from and ask them to work with you. Remember it's not just the original price but are the willing to throw in extras..ie extended warranty, upgrades, etc. Good service is always worth a little extra.
