I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota, heavy duty v8, heavy duty suspension, hauling package- up to 8500lbs.  Would it be ok for me to haul a 2 horse trailer with it?  My horse is 15.2 QH gelding, probably around 1100lbs.  So any help would be greatly appreciated!!

As long as you have adequate brakes and electric on the trailer you should be ok,you might even consider a load equilizer hitch to help keep the load under controll.

I pulled a 2H GN with my Dakota(s) for about 10 years. Loved the truck. Ultimately I bought a bigger horse and long-term the Dakota just wasn't enough.
