Quick question - I have been building a weekender type package in my horse trailer, and I just had a 12 volt light inside cut out because it interfered with the paneling.  The welder who did this just left all the wires hanging.  He also took out a little fan that was attached to the accessory wire that runs to the truck.  After doing this he wasn't sure I should plug the trailer back into the truck because of the now dangling ground wires.  Should I just screw the two ground wires to the trailer somewhere until I can make permanent fixes?  I don't want to get shocked or have my horse shocked...

I think you don't need to worry about electric shock.
The ground wires aren't a problem, unless they get to touch something hot.
The worst case is probably sparks that COULD cause a fire, however unlikely.
2nd to that you could blow a fuse.
If there are bare LIVE wires hanging around and you HAVE TO use the trailer you could wrap them with electrical tape and secure them against a wall, for example.

I like to be extra careful about these electrical things.  I'll just wrap them and secure them if I must use the trailer.  Thank you for answering.
