I am almost afraid to ask.  Last time got the bashing of my life and hadnt visited in a while since.  Remember no knowledge is not stupid, just never probaly been told!!!!  Which is why I am asking for help.

I am looking for a new trailer.  Currently have a 4 star 3 horse slant load.  7'6" wide, 7'6" tall, 39 inch wide stalls, and haul one very long bodied 1250 pound 16 hand tall gelding.  Other horse is also long bodied but not as tall and around 1100 pounds.  They ride very comfortably in my current trailer so going back with the same measurements if I get a slant.  But trying to decide exactly what I want and what would be best for my horses.  Looking at the new 4 stars but dont like how they have changed the sides and dont like how low they have dropped the new sides.  Have looked at the C&Cs and like them, also the Bloomers.  Someone suggested Featherlite has some very nice trailers for a better price.  Any suggestions or comments to help is appreciated.   I hear of alot of people disliking slant loads, saying get a straight load,  SPECIFIC reasons why, not just "too little space or too much wasted space(where at????)" would also be appreciated. Thanks

My aunt has a 6 horse slant that is a full 7'6" wide on the inside and is long.  the horses don't seem to like it as well as a straight load, but they can deal with it.

A friend has a slant that is about 7' wide on the inside.  I have seen it make multiple horses hard to load, including mine.  My horse who always loaded just quit after his first ride in that trailer.  his neck was all scrunched up trying to fit.

It's only straight loads for me.   -Phillip
