Ok, so a friend posted wanting to get a 2hGN trailer, no lq and use this truck to pull it. GCVW is ~7k. Person was towing steel 2hBP trailer with no issues. Now wants to upgrade to a GN. Nissan Dealer, hitch installer, trailer dealer ALL say it will be ok...I advised them about our experiences with being 'undertrucked' ...replacing flywheels and other issues. We since moved up to a diesel 1 ton. Last thing I want to see is her broke down on the side of the road...we do have some hills in AZ. So, does anyone use this truck to pull a GN trailer? Thanks.

From personal experience Ihad a 1/2 ton silverado with a V8 5.7 engine that pulled my 2 horse bumper pull fine. I upgraded my trailer to a two horse gooseneck with a small dressing room. The weight difference wasn't much both were steel framed aluminum skinned. I had to have extra springs installed so the truck stayed level with the gooseneck attached which was one expense I was not counting on. The truck did fine on short trips but I don't think it would have made a lengthy journey without having problems. I also found on long grade, large hills that it just really did not have the guts to do it. There was one time I thought my gelding was going to have to get out and help us up the hill. After that experience I traded it in for a 3/4 ton.
