It may not have had a true VIN. On a unit that old, several of the smaller Arkansas manufacturers just used a serial number. And of course, they are no longer with us anymore to inquire.
On an aside, sometimes the serial number was often welded inside the neck, or in another hidden area. By welded in, I mean just a welded bead spelling out the number, usually 1-2" tall.

Thanks for the info. I think I found what you are talking about. It's stamped on the side of the neck, 3 numbers and 1 letter. I also got underneath the trailer and found the plates on the axles with the serial numbers and the dates they were made. So instead of a 99 model it seems to be a 2000. Thanks again.
