Universal trailer acquired Featherlite and Featherlite Specialty Trailers in 10/06. Who knows when they acquired Exiss, Haulmark, Sooner, Miley, Wells Cargo, etc. Another one of the many trailer manufacturing companies Universal Trailer owns is InternetTrailer.com which allows you to custom build your own trailer online! My question is, Does trailer brand really matter today?
Again I am keeping my 99 Featherlite and will upgrade it to the max!

My opinion, YES it does matter to me...... We owned a 2000 Exiss and then a 2004 Sooner (the year before Universal) and after looking at the 2004 and then a 2006 Sooner and 2006 Exiss both when we was thinking of trading after 2 years we passed on both. The quality in their workmanship and parts was both much lower than the original (pre Universal) was. But on the other hand we was interested in 8' to 12' SW living quarter trailer too, not just regular horse trailer.
