We are currently researching trailers to replace our 1980's WW steel trailer (2H straight). I want to spend under $10k and prefer aluminum just b/c of the rust issue. The 2H aluminum Eclipse trailers are an option as are the Mileys. My concern is, are they made well and would one of these be safe for the two ponies we will be hauling short distances to local shows. I keep "hearing" about horses kicking through aluminum walls.
If you have owned one of these brands or have first-hand knowledge, please advise!

Of all the brands of trailers we have had through out shop in 12 years time; I can only remember one trailer that had been kicked thru both the inner and outer walls. It was a race horse that had done that little feat !! It was an aluminum trailer; but built very well. I still don't know how this horse didn't shatter his legs by kicking that hard and repeatedly. If a trailer has both an inner and outer wall (as most aluminum trailers do); I wouldn't worry too much about kick thru, unless of course you haul "forever kicking" race horses.
