OK, I asked about this when the 'accident' happened, but thought maybe there is some new info now.
I knocked off the pipe and valve gates from my blackwater tank when the wheel went into a ditch. There is also a crack by the entrance to the tank where the pipe was. I still have all the parts, and *think* the only thing damaged was the tank itself. It took off the rim where the pipe fits in, and then there is the crack. Has anyone ever used one of those tank repair kits? And if so, how do they last? I just want to have it last long enough for me to save up for a new tank...if I can find one!

The problem with the repair kits, is that they are a fiberglass mat and resin combination. You need to carefully clean and desgrease the tank for the resin to stick, fit the parts back together and apply the resin and fiberglass. This is pretty easy to do on a flat surface. But add all the angles and curves that you will fixing to reattach the outflow drain. Plus it's all underneath the trailer where it's hard to get at. I bet you never get it to hold.
Follow the instructions and take your chances. You will only be out $20 or so for the effort. So it's worth a try.
