I am pretty sure that you will get a ticket in AR and most all surrounding states if you pull a trailer thats put your combined weight over 10K #, when running a non - weight tag. That's if you get caught! I was told the same thing when I first moved here. But, it was NOT accurate infomation! Been there, done it, and wrote the check to pay the fine! They did go easy on me since I had just moved here and the trailer carried a TN Semi tag. It was a fully self contained LQ trailer but they argued that the truck was NOT licensed to carry the weight. The fact that it was considered an RV didn't factor into the equation at all! In the state of AR, your tow vehicle must be licensed to carry the CGVW of both the truck & trailer it tows. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Lol; See what I mean; I do not doubt what you said at all. not sure what my exact weight is on the data plates but my combined weight fully loaded is just a little over 25'500 # and they stated I was fine with the regular bed pick up with the DAV tag.

Not doubting you at all; but look at some of these Camper trailers with tri axels going down the road. Check out Turkey Track Festval and none of those will have a tag other than a regular tag
