Start out by calling all the lending institutions you know of.

If you had a motor vehicle dealers lic. you could go to the FWVA every other friday like I do and buy one. That is where I bought my 2004 SUNDOWNER 8010 Signature series 3 horse from. Other than that, you could check with you local banks. However the larger banks like Bank of America, Well Fargo and GE money Bank run all of their units through the auction.

Hey!! Make them an offer, They will either say ya, or nay!!To be sure, they'll be more than glad to finance it for you.... Those trailers look like those 15 year deals!!

$130,000.00 loan at .08% for 180 months = $1242.00 per month

The interest alone equals to.... $93,622.59

Total money paid for the trailer, principle and interest.... $223,622.59 tied up in a 15 year old horse trailer.....

What would the value of that trailer be at the end of the loan period? Just a small fraction of what has been paid out. People definitely shouldn't purchase trailers as an investment.

I'm not certain what "retento" is really getting at here.  It looks like those repo trailers are up for BID, and not being sold for retail prices.  I would imagine the dealer has included the actual retail price of the trailers to give folks an idea of what the trailer would normally sell for.  Just because the dealer says a certain LQ trailer retails for $130,000, doesn't mean that's what he's willing to sell it for.  As you said, "MAKE A BID!"  Also, because LQ's are fully self contained, you can write 100% of the interest off your taxes every year.  (I know this for sure because I do it every year on my LQ.)  Just like a home.  It wouldn't hurt to give them a call to find out for sure anyway.   Looks like you might be able to get a good deal on a nice trailer.........   As to the verbiage about interest rates and monthly payments, why even bring it up.  Yes, if you finance ANYTHING you're going to pay a lot in interest charges over the life of the contract, just the same as homes, autos, etc., so why even bring it up?

Are those actually "REPOS"?

New warranty on 07 model repos....

Some repo's are getting a bit higher, yesterday at the auction there was a 1998 Elite 4 hores mill finish with about a 10' SW cheaper package LQ and nothing fancy, no gen and no LP that sold for around 23-k!  Too me was not a real nice trailer, inside was fine, outside needed some good clean up.

Looks like to me a Sundowner of TN gimmick. Either that or the bank has taken over a floorplan, because the trailers are brand new. The only way that can be a repo is if the bank has pulled the floorplan on the dealer.

If I was a betting man, ol' Slivering Salamander is closer to this than he wants us to believe.

Before this gets too far along, these units are what they appear to be. There is no gimmick, They are Bank Owned, They are new. For more information, click on the unit, click on the Bid Form or contact my Dealership.

Gary, do you have a minimum price or minimum bid for each of the trailers?

My guess is that GE is sticking a ridiculously high interest rate to the dealers on their floorplan because trailer inventory floorplans have become increasingly risky.  Some dealerships are crumbling and the floorplan company is having trouble getting its money out of the dealer and/or manufacturer.  Its not a very good time to be a big manufacturer with lots of crumbling dealerships, buyback agreements and such.  Needless to say, you can catch a pretty good deal on some well known brands, but the manufacturer may not be around in the future.

There is no minimum bid, but I'm sure there is a reserve figure by the Bank, and all Bids are submitted to the Bank.

Is your interest rate really 0.08%......

We pay close to 20% here in SA...so luxury items like LQ Trailers ... well you either pay cash for them or you dont buy them....simple as that.

Might wanta have trailer inspected by pro for water damage as all floods in areas last few years.

We sold corral panels before moved away from IL to couple who wanted out Sundowner lnqs trailer but they had wasted money on trailer{ thought was great deal }that had rotten walls/wiring etc wrong with it.So be AWARE those trailers arent gonna be somewhere and cheap for reason.

All repossessed trailers (new or used) are checked out thru our service dept. and have a detailed condition report available for the asking.(None of these trailers are flood trailers).

Just curious as to where these trailers have been sitting this whole time.  Have they been on your lot or are they being shipped in from various dealers just to sell?  Are they owned by a local bank?

I look/browse trailers as was looking for 2/3 horse and trailers sit at dealerships for X amount time and if not sold sent to another dealership any one can figure that out.Ya those flooded trailers go somewhere and someone sales them. Not pointing fingers just stating fact.So newbie trailer shoppers can be informed and not be on here later pointing fingers etc.Check them out really well first.JMHO Thanks
