It was advised that I go with this type of shower to squeeze into the corner of my trailer. Am I picturing it wrong in my head or will the strange angle of the corner (slant wall meeting long wall) lead to a good bit of 'open' space behind the shower wall?? If so, does anyone use this space as storage for anything (water pump, water tank, etc)??

I think you are looking at it the wrong way. The corner of the shower will match the corner of your trailer - square. The "neo-angle" is the way the door is hung on the shower. They are actually quite roomy.

But the corner of my trailer isn't a 90deg. angle (square)???

I'll try my best to expain this, here is a neo-angle shower.

Notice that it is 32" from one side to the other, but more importantly is that it doesn't go into the corner completely, it needs 17" of a square corner. So if you measure you trailer to a 17" square corner you can determine where the shower will be placed, I sometimes tape this to the floor and see if it is something I can deal with.

Now here is a shower designed for the slant wall of a horse trailer.

Fiberglass 1 piece

Notice that this shower only needs 30.5" from the corner of the trailer along the "long" wall. When this shower is installed the plumbing(shower valve) is on the left wall in the picture, that ends up being boxed in square, so that will make that deminsion along the "long wall" expand to just shy of 40", Still taking up less room than a neo-angle shower or the first example. One measurment to be sure about when using this shower is the 39.5" along the slant wall, if you have a walk-thru door to the horse area, this measurment sometimes is to long.

Hello.  I was just wondering if you knew where you could purchase a shower that is designed to fit the slant wall of a horse trailer?  I have looked for one, but I've not had much success.  Thanks.

All of the below are in Texas and should be able to help you out. Just tell them you are wanting a slantwall shower from Jazz Sales. They are all dealers for them. I have no affiliation with any of these guys, or with Jazz Sales, I do use their products and am happy with the level of service they provide.

Yeah, I found those slant wall showers last night after I posted this thread on jazzsales.com

I think I am going to go with one of those.

So, am I understanding this correctly...

Don't laugh at my picture, I don't have any photo editting software on this computer so I had to use "Paint".

Where I have enclosed a space with red lines, the plumbing 'stuff' will be in that area (behind the wall)??

Where the green spot is, the shower fixtures will be mounted inside?

I FINALLY got ahold of someone in Texas that deals with Jazz (1 wrong number on the list, one person who told me they didn't sell stuff like I wanted and two that didn't answer their phones - during reg. business hours).

The one piece shower is $516 (not inclu. a door) + about $125 s/h to the dealer. He said he wasn't sure if he could get Jazz to drop ship it to me or if I would then have to either drive down and pick it up from him or pay additional shipping.

Since these slanted end showers are all one piece, do you still  have to build a wood frame for it, or is it self-supporting?

I have no clue.

There's a one piece version & a separate floor and walls set up that you can order. The individually pieced one is cheaper even if you buy all the pieces.

They do need to be screwed to something, if you line the walls of the trailer with plywood they can be screwed to it. The one piece style does not need the bracing under it, that part is already done. So you can stand in it without any bracing ect...

If you don't like the Neo angle shower, there is also the Lotus Round Shower.  We prefer to use the Lotus in our LQ's.

So, you do LQ trailer conversions?  Do you guys ever re-do older trailers or do you strictly do new construction? None of the conversions websites I've ever looked at have clearly stated that they could or would gut and remodel an older horse trailer.

I just wish the Neoangle or round ones fit inside the slant area better.

Here is a link to our website which shows some of the interiors that we have done.  Most of the time when we get a trade-in we go through the trailer and remodel the inside.

Those interiors are pretty sweet.....I can't imagine how much it must cost to do.  I think I'll have to live with my ugly cabinets. That's really my only complaint about my current trailer is that the cabinets are that pressed board 80's style dark panneling lookin' stuff.  I love the layout and wouldn't change a thing except new clean cabinets.

The cabinets can be upgraded by changing the doors and hardware. This will change the entire appearance and can modernize an older but functional cabinet at a modest price. Doors can be purchased on Ebay

You can refinish your cabinet doors yourself to save a little money and look on ebay for new cabinet pulls to update your trailer.  You might also go to a paint & decor store and look at thier remnants if you want a new counter top or linolium.  Remnants are usually much more inexpesive.

MDF cabinets with a paper or vinyl veneer cannot be sanded and refinished. They can only be painted, or faux finished, almost any applied finish can be used. Solid wood or plywood doors can be sanded, but trying to refinish to a lighter wood colour is almost impossible.

Some of the Ebay doors are a solid hardwood, raised panel construction. It may take several hours to strip and refinish an existing wood door. They can be purchased new for about $10 -$15 each, and with the lighter coloured woods, quickly brighten the overall appearance of the interior.
