I have an 18 foot stock trailer and would like to put in a 6 foot dressing room. Does anyone have any ideas where to start? Some people have told me I need to have a wall welded in, others say ther is no need to weld a wall in???? Some say I need a short wall, others say make it square??? Please help!

The way you do it depends upon what you want.  Do you want it to be permanant?  Then weld in a wall.  If you want the option of removing it in the future build a wall.  The same with the square or slant wall.  Figure out what you want to put into it, how you want it laid out and then decide which set up will work best with what you want.
