I'm trailering horses to Colorado in July of next year. Looking for good horse camps with access to good mountain trails. Prefer to be in Southwestern part of the state (maybe Creede or Pagosa Springs area. Any recommendations?

There is a trailhead called 30 mile trailhead close to Creede that we rode out of but there was only vault toilets and stream for horses but we rode to the Window and by the Pyramid. Also there is a trailhead called Ivy Creek close to Creede that you can dry camp at also. There is also Palisades Park around Pagosa that has electric and is more of a campground with some riding out of also. Good Luck - love that area and especially the little town of Creede
