I have found a 2 year old 3 horse trailer with 8' short wall that has a home made front livingquarters. It is decent but looks enough different from a commercially done LQ that you would look at it and say it is home made. Does this hurt the value and resale of this trailer. Is it only worth what a unfinished trailer is worth?This unit has a few cabinets with sink, microwave,refrigerator,couch,recliner and cowboy shower. No toilet. Gray factory carpeting can be seen.This trailer is a high quality name brand trailer.Thank You!

Usually a home made LQ is valued less than a professionally installed one. There are exceptions to that rule based on the installers skill level and materials used. Some are crap, some are better than what is usually can be bought from a company. It all depends.
Based on what it sounds like you are saying, this one would be less than a commercially installed unit, but definitly more than an empty shell. Look at other trailers that are listed on this site, that should give you a better idea of value. But ultimitely it is a personal decision by you as to what you want and are willing to pay.
