Subject: Foam under trailer mats?

Hello!

My neighbor has an Exiss trailer that has a layer of 1” foam underneath the rubber mats. It gives the floor a really nice feel, and I expect that it absorbs some of the vibration from the road. MY neighbor got the trailer second-hand so doesn’t know whether the foam is standard for Exiss or an aftermarket addition.

Does anybody know what that foam is? I’d love to get some for my own trailer, to go under the rubber mats.

Thanks!

-Eben

To my recollection, Exiss has not used anything other than a basic rubber floor mat. Over the years, the industry has seen some various aftermarket matting geared to having more cushioning. I'm not sure where one might buy that now as I haven't seen it in a while.
