Hey all! I have. 2019 Lakota Charger 4 horses w/15.5’ SW. We have some friends who pull Rangers on 12’ trailers behind their horse trailers that are similar size. However, they have steel frames trailers and mine is all aluminum and I’m wanting to add a rear receiver hitch to it as well for the purpose of pulling a small trailer w/Ranger on it. It would be under the 75’ max for the regulations around us for pulling 2 trailers. We have plenty of pickup so no concerns there either. Has anyone added a receiver hitch to their aluminum trailers like I’m discussing? The goal is to have the Ranger with us for an alternative when we go riding or for just using the LQ trailer as a camper and go Ranger riding without horses occasionally. Thanks in advance!

We have done many over the years, often for our mule folks to pull their wagon behind. We've always had to custom fab the receiver hitch out of steel, and then bolt it under the trailer taking all the usual steps to isolate the steel from the aluminum. Every one seems to be a bit different depending on need and the trailer. You'll also want a 7 pin plug back there for lights & brakes.
